NexusOS Hardware Specification — AGPL-3.0
The formal, AGPL-3.0-protected specification for the NexusOS hardware layer. First public disclosure: 2026-05-16. Open forever — any improvements must be contributed back to the community.
Specifications Covered
- SNIC — Spectral Network Interface Card: 51,200 orthogonal channels (256 WDM × 50 OAM × 2 POL × 2 DIR). CE lookups execute as physical wavelength selections in photonic waveguides. ⟨Ψᵢ|Ψⱼ⟩ = 0 by quantum mechanics.
- PHR-1 — Physical Resonator: 144-turn bifilar coil, Syncbox Controller firmware, WavelengthScript v1.0 API. First implementation of the ZERO-G state. First batch: 25 units.
- Spectral Relay Mesh v1: multi-hop WNSP packet routing across physical nodes using Ψ channel addressing.
- WavelengthScript Compiler α: source-to-bytecode compiler specification.
- Silicon Nitride (SiN) Substrate: LPCVD fabrication basis. Transparency window ~500–2500 nm covers the full NexusOS CE visible band (380–780 nm). ~10× lower propagation loss than silicon (~0.1 dB/cm), ~100× better power handling. Kerr nonlinearity supports OAM mode generation (null-core r_null = lλ/2π) and Ghost Node ZPE channels (α = 0 at integer octave resonance). Hybrid SiN + thin-film LiNbO₃ path for coherent frequency combs (~2030). Independently validated 2026-07-17. Note: correct channel count is 51,200 (256×50×2×2), not 51,600.
