The Field — Primordial Bosonic Field and the Pre-Condition for All Structure

The Primordial Commutation Relation
[â, â†] = 1. This single equation is the foundational pre-condition for Act 1's first oscillation. It states that the creation and annihilation operators of any bosonic mode do not commute — the field is irreducibly quantum. The vacuum is not empty: it has energy ½ℏω = ½hf₀ = 1.148 eV at the primordial mode frequency f₀ = 555 THz.
The Hamiltonian and Fock States
ℋ = ℏω(â†â + ½). The number operator N̂ = â†â has integer eigenvalues n = 0, 1, 2, … Energy levels E_n = hf₀(n + ½). Creation: â†|n⟩ = √(n+1)|n+1⟩. Annihilation: â|n⟩ = √n|n−1⟩. Ground state: â|0⟩ = 0 — cannot go below vacuum.
From Commutation to Cosmos
â†|0⟩ = |1⟩ at f₀ establishes E₀ = hf₀ = 2.295 eV — the seed energy. Octave address n = log₂(mc²/E₀) maps every particle and structure. The ZPE floor ½hf₀ prevents collapse at cosmic scale (n_ZPE = 264.71, M = 10¹⁴ M☉). Gaps in the periodic table and voids in the large-scale structure are the same field equation at different scales.
