NexusOS Open Charter — AGPL-3.0 and Open Science
NexusOS is committed to permanent openness. Every hardware specification, protocol standard, software library, and research finding is released under AGPL-3.0 — the strongest copyleft licence available. Open forever means open forever.
What the Charter Covers
- Hardware specifications: SNIC, PHR-1, Spectral Relay Mesh v1, and WavelengthScript Compiler α are AGPL-3.0. Any manufacturer who improves these designs must release those improvements.
- Protocol standards: WNSP-CE v1.0, WNSP-SE v1.0, WNSP-URI v1.0, and the Hilbert Space Channel Model are open standards. No patents, no proprietary forks.
- Software: The NexusOS codebase, CE encoder packages (npm + pip), WNSP VM, and WavelengthScript compiler are all AGPL-3.0.
- Research: The Theory of Compression States and all derived physics proofs are public domain. Build on them freely.
First public disclosure of hardware specifications: 2026-05-16. From that date forward, all NexusOS IP is irrevocably open.
